Itineraries

Day 1

Arrival at Kathmandu

Air reception and transfer to hotel. Room check in and free time.

Day 2

Free day at Kathmandu.

It will give you good times to prepare if anything hasn't been done yet. Also if there is interest of seeing the old part of the Kathmandu valley, do it today!

Day 3

Fly (or drive) to Nepalgunj. Hotel.

The flight is comfortable and takes just an hour, but the drive takes many hours. Both are equally interesting. The views from sky certainly amazing also by road it will display the real Nepal. Both are worthy, just by air is a little pricey. But if the group is utto 3-4 people, by air it comes to be cheaper. By road the recommended is by privately reserved vehicle. So, if you compare the cost by air and road, its cheaper for the smaller groups.

Day 4

In the morning after breakfast fly to Jumla (2540m/8334ft) & trek to Chere Chaur (3055m/10023ft) for 4-5hrs.

It’s a half an hour flight from Nepalgunj. Upon landing at the airport, we get to feel the different atmosphere and see the beautiful landscape. Today’s trek will take about 5 hrs to Chere Chaur and mostly today we follow the Jugad Khola on its opposite direction.

Day 5

Trek Chalachaur (2980m/9777ft), 5-6hr walk

We continue ascending along the pleasant trail for Jaljala pass. On the way there are great sights and beautiful forest of rhododendron, pine, birch etc. Enjoy the great views from the pass before descending to the Jaljala Khola and nearby there our camp for today at Chala Chaur.

Day 6

Trek Sinja Valley (2490m/ 8169 ft. ), 4-5hr walk

Continue following the Jaljala Khola we approach the Sinja Valley nearing paddy fields and a famous temple named Kanak Sundari. After here we get to read many stone inscriptions that display the glorious past of Sinja Valley. This could be another attraction for the visitors.

Day 7

Trek Ghorosingha (3050m/10007ft. ), 4-5hr walk

To leave the valley, we follow the Hima River. The trail again gets forestry and at times we find beautiful meadows among the lush green forest. After the Laha village, the trail is bit steeper until Ghoru Singha. Along the Ghatte Khola we follow to the check point of Rara lake NP. Amazingly scenic day!

Day 8

Trek to Rara Lake (3010m/9876ft. ), 6hr walk,

The final destination. The highlight of the trip. Wonderful vistas, the lake resembles as a piece of heaven. Many poets who arrived here have written poems focusing the natural beauty of the lake and the surrounding area. Accessing here might not be easy, but it rewards well. So, well!
Today’s trail as begins from Goru Singa to Ghurchi Mara ridge which has swiping bird eyes views to the Park. The deep blue waters of Rara Lake glisten on the northern horizon while descending through leafy trails of birch and bamboo. Enjoying the natural scenery, the trail enters into more dense forested trail and continue for Majhghat. After Khatyar Khola continue north along an inclined trail to the western end of the Rara National Park. Finally, after 5-6hr trek, once can reach to the destination of Rara Lake.

Day 9

Explore Rara Lake

Spend the whole day exploring around. The Rara Lake Nepal’s biggest has boating opportunity at its mesmerizing tranquility. The 13 sq km lake is a home to several flora and fauna including some indigenous species of birds, fish, and animals. The bank of the river that feds waters for the lake is an excellent viewpoint of lake and himalayn shadow in it. Nearby is a temple of Shiva worthy to visit as it has beautiful wood carvings. Taking underwater shadow photos of the Rara and Chapra village is truly a longtime waiting tasks! Trt it…

Day 10

Trek to Pina (2440m/ 8006ft. ), 4-5hr walk

Time to retrace, saying good bye until next time we head to Pina village following the Khatyar khola. Easy and pleasant trail to Gamghadi then short descend to Jhyari khola before uphill to Pina village.

Day 11

Trek to Bumra (2850m/9351ft. ), 6-7hr walk

From Pina, descend to Ghurchi Lagna at 3480m. It’s a small pass with colorful prayer flags and offers beautiful Karnali river view and Kanjiroba Himal. Bhubhule, Chautha and finally we reach to Burma – also called Nuru Ghat today.

Day 12

Arrive at Jumla.

Fly to Nepalgunj and then continue to Kathmandu fly. Hotel.
