It is one of the lowest elevation NMA trekking peaks but rewarding in mountaineering adventure with superb viewpoints from the summit. The summit can be viewed from Pheriche (south-side) as a crenelated rocky ridge dominated by the vast bulk of Nuptse western flank. From northern side (Gorakshep, Kalapatthar) it looks more interesting rising to the south of the Kongma La (one of the 3 passes of Khumbu high passes route). The northern side of the mountain has a small hanging glacier that is best reached along the ridge rising from the pass. The rock on the mountain are week, although it does offer some interesting scrambling on the well-defined ridges. You can make several routes trek to its base camp and even after summit the peak, you may not need to follow the same trail even above from the base camp.
