The Dhorpatan Jeep Tour is an adventurous journey into one of Nepal’s most remote and fascinating highland regions, where rugged mountain roads lead through deep valleys, forested hills, traditional villages and wide-open Himalayan landscapes. Rather than following a conventional trekking route, this journey takes you deep into the countryside by jeep, making it possible to experience the changing landscapes and remote communities in a shorter and more comfortable way, being suitable for all age group visitors.
Dhorpatan is Nepal’s only hunting reserve and a remarkable meeting point of wilderness and village life. Along the way, the journey passes through the beautiful hills of Mid-West Nepal, with dramatic mountain scenery, terraced fields, dense forests and scattered settlements. The road itself becomes part of the adventure, with rough and winding sections adding an authentic sense of exploration.
The highlight is reaching Dhorpatan, a peaceful highland valley surrounded by forests and mountains. Here, you can experience the simple rhythm of mountain life, meet local people, explore the surrounding landscape and enjoy the feeling of being far from Nepal’s more travelled tourist routes.
Itinerary
Welcome to Kathmandu, the vibrant capital of Nepal. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our team and transferred to your hotel in the heart of the city.
After some time to rest, we will meet for a short briefing about the Dhorpatan Jeep Tour. You will have an opportunity to discuss the road journey, accommodation and what to expect from the adventure ahead.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional Nepali dinner and a warm introduction to Nepali hospitality.
