Your journey to Mount Kailash begins in Kathmandu, Nepal, with a scenic drive toward Rasuwagadhi and the Nepal–China border - subject to the current operation of theborder crossing! After completing immigration formalities, you enter Tibet through the border town of Kerung or Nyalam.

From Kerung (or Nyalam or even taking the flight to Lhasa from Kathmandu), the journey continues westward across the vast Tibetan Plateau to the sacred Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar. The gradual route allows time for acclimatization while you experience some of the most remarkable landscapes in the Himalayas.

Along the way, you will see endless high-altitude grasslands, dramatic mountain ranges, turquoise lakes and remote Tibetan settlements. Yaks and other livestock graze across the open plains, while traditional nomadic communities continue their way of life in this remote region.

The spiritual heart of the journey is Mount Kailash, one of the most sacred mountains in Asia. You will spend three days completing the Kailash Kora (circumambulation), walking through spectacular high-altitude landscapes and experiencing an important pilgrimage tradition followed by people of several faiths.
