This trek is aptly suitable for those who are beginners and want to see the amazing Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayas and spend a few days in the heavenly like Annapurna Conservation Area that has world class trekking tails, enchanting vistas and of course it is world-wide famous for abundance availability of the floras and faunas including several of them are endangered species.
Ghorepani, Poon Hill, Tadapani etc are the popular viewpoints on this short and easy trekking trail. Hile or Tikhe Dhunga or Ulleri can be your starting point and to end the trip you may choose Ghanruk (or Ghandrung) which is 3hrs hiking distance from Tadapani or even descend to Kimrong and arrive to Jhinu Danda then drive to Pokhara on the next day. These all mean that this trek gives you multiple choices for trekking duration, trail length etc.
To trek here you will still need to get the ACAP trek permit from Kathmandu or Pokhara. The entry permit is checked at Birethanti, just after after you cross the motorable bridge over the Modi Khola. This Khola (Khola means river) comes down from the Annapurna Base Camp combining with the Machhapuchchhare Base Camp and some other glaciers around that location; therefore the waters, in the dry season; seems whitish or somewhat milky. This river helps to run some small hydro electricity projects in the lower areas and even some rafting and kayaking trips can be organized upon request. The another trek permit called TIMS is not mandatory as of yet, but in the future it will come up with modified system and will be compulsory for all the foreigner trekkers.
