This trip is a complete exploration of the mythical Lhasa city as well as the Yeti’s favorite home – the site of Mt. Everest Base Camp, the north side in Tibet. It is a tour that truly roams around the ‘Roof of the World’ allowing you to closely experience the life of Tibetan people, feel the greatness of world famous Tibetan Buddhism and enjoy the great vistas passing through the vast grasslands. On these travel days you will be engrossed with Trans-Himalayan flights to sightseeing and excursions of the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Market, Drepung and Sera Monastery. Lhasa is now a fascinating modern city yet, there are many wonderful things to see and do around, which helps to prove the story of Tibet’s unique past and the intertwining of religion with history. Most of the holy temples retain magic and mysticism and demonstrate the absolute faith in Tibetan Buddhism so integral to the character of the Tibetan people. This trip is suitable for all who are active and go outdoor trips once in a while. It requires no strenuous trekking. Just drive from view point to view point and bring back to good hotels for the night stop. Ample time is allowed to see, enjoy and for photography. Our guide is very detail to explain everything. Now the active entry point into Tibet including for the foreign travelers is Rasuwagadhi – Kerung check-post. There is Chinese immigration office as well as Nepalese.
