Overview
The magical adventure of this journey is to reach the northern most Himalayan valley of central Nepal and explore the heavenly beauty encircling the great massif of Mt. Manaslu (8163m/26778ft), Mt. Himalchuli (7893m/25892ft), Mt. Buddha (6672m/21887ft) etc. Since Manaslu Area (or the Manaslu Conservation Area) is under the “special area” for trekkers and was only officially opened in 1991 for trekkers, it needs to obtain the special Entry Permits. A two week long trek will give you an exciting, adventurous and once in lifetime experiences. Every year in Autumn and Spring we organize more than 4 – 5 trek trek groups in this Manaslu trek route only in which you are welcome to join too. The way we arrange trek is safe, pleasant and suitable for all active hikers. Our trek starts from Aru Ghat to Arkhet and advancing to the Pass of 5160 M Larkey La (pass), then descends to Tilje – meeting the trekking trail of Annapurna Round at the end. If you have time for this Annapurna Round trek, you may continue from right there. Recently many people do combine this Manaslu trek with the Annapurna Round. So, this is the right direction to start the trek from right hand-side to left hand-side or from East to West is the generally set itinerary. Unless there is particular cause, you are suggested not to start from the other way around. There are technically difficulties in terms of accessing to the pass from Bhimthang. It has the risk of lacking of acclimatizing opportunity and also there is difficult of finding suitable camping places with drinking water source. Our trips are either fully ‘camping trek’ or ‘lodge trek’ with ‘camping arrangement’. But we do operate fully ‘lodge trek’ also for the interested parties.
